Eurogamer 2013....AGAIN!!!

I know there is already a post about Eurogamer but I thought I'd make something a bit more organised!!

Just want to find out who is going to Eurogamer this year, what day and if anyone fancied getting a breakfast again and hitting the show as a forum!

I'm heading to London on the Friday night with Lauren, stopping over then will going the show on the Saturday, so no doubt we will be getting some food nearby and heading in once the queues have died down a bit!

Anyone else fancy joining? I'm sure we could book something if there is a number of us?

So me, Em (X x em x X) and Tom (Littleman) are going on the Saturday and hopefully will try and meet up with as many of the community members as possible.

We went for breaky last year in a Cafe just round the corner and my vote is to meet up there early with anybody that wants to grab some food before we go in.

Also I was thinking of meeting up half through the day (might try and grab some photos of the gang) maybe for a drink and catch up with anybody that we didn't see in the morning.

Just thought I'd post people a few little helpfully directions/streetview for those that want to come to the cafe in the morning!

The cafe is called Zama Zingo Cafe:



And from the front of Earl's Court (Which is opposite Earl's court tube station) you just have to walk round the left of Earl's court and then across the entrance to the car park, across the bridge staying on the opposite side of the road to West Bromwich Tube station, follow that road down past the pub and cross the road and its there!

Going on the Saturday. Not sure if I'm driving and parking at earls court as I always have or Parkin up on the outskirts and tubing it in.

If I remember rightly the traffic was a nightmare because there was roadworks, so might be worth checking your route for roadworks?

Me and Gandalf are heading up for the fri afternoon and saturday show. I am happy to meet for breakfast on the sat. I am also going to the Midlifegamer meetup on the sat eve as they do a great raffle & auction for charity.

Anything happening during the day just use twitter i guess.

Could be a problem as last year all the signals crashed. Couldn't get connection at all. Just ask iceman.

Yeah the signal was awful! Don't worry I've got a print out this time round! Is it worth saying we will meet up at a certain point at a certain time once we are inside?

Just an idea but I think we should go for a pronged attack for the meet up - 

1st is the breakfast for anybody that wants to meet up for breakfast before the expo (like some of us did last year) at the cafe Iceman has put photos of above. I think we should meet outside the expo then walk 2 mins to the cafe together for the people who didnt go there last year. Other question what time? I rather be earlier so we can take time of breaky and have a chat before the show. Idea for a time? 9pm?


2nd part of the plan is a pre-planned meeting point inside the expo maybe say 2pm ish? at a certain point. Maybe near the drinks area so we can all meet up again. Also so I can get some photos for the site of us and maybe even some video for the site.

My ticket doesn't allow entry till 11am breakfast at 9 is far to early. I want to be eating my breakfast while every other bugger is wasting their lives queuing to get in. I want to time it so that when I have finished my fry up, I can just walk straight in. Say 11:30/12pm ( I don't queue)

How about we split the difference and say 10pm? lol time we have have breaky will just be after 11pm

How about 11.07 am just to throw that spanner in the works! I'm easy with what time as I'm at the ibis over the road from the cafe! Would it not be easier to meet at the seating area? Where the careers stands are? Pretty clear where it is then? You never know there might be a dance game... Me and Dr. Frosty breaking it down!

lol it's been one of those weeks this week! Brain isn't working.

So we are decided? 10am at the front of Earls court to meet for breakfast? 2pm at the sitting/meeting area for pictures/videos?

I will there this year again I might acutally see you guys this time round as long as some form of twitter face book or even a text message Works lol

For those who are not meeting us for breakfast in the morning, we need to settle on a point inside to meet up as once we get inside, no one knows what the phone signal will be like.

I'm suggesting near the games industry fair, which is in the back left hand corner as you enter from the front next to the press area.... (See picture below!) as if I remember right there was a few seats and it didn't get too crowded.

If anyone has any other suggestions please shout out and we can decide what is best!

The time we will be meeting is 2pm! Just so you know I'll be wearing a white t shirt with Space Invaders on the front in different luminous colours! (I like to stand out!)



For those meeting for breakfast we are meeting outside the front of Earls court at 10am and then walking round to the little cafe, if you could let someone know if you are going to meet us there, that way we are not waiting round!!

I was thinking how about behind the Rezzed section in the food and drink area for the 2pm meeting? I thought that it might have a little more room for us.

So the final plan is to meet behind the rezzed section at 2pm for anyone who isn't going for breakfast,

Those going for breakfast meet outside earls court at 10am and we will walk round!
