Welcome to our latest competition using Fifa 12 on the Xbox 360 here at Ruff Gaming - The Euro Ruff's 2012!
This competition see's our community take to the battle field of the international stage of football to see who will take the crown!
Euro Ruff 2012 is a cup competition on Fifa 12 but NOT using the DLC just the main game. We will be using the international teams as closely as we can to match Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. This competition will also be in the same format as the real tournament - 4 groups of 4 teams and the each team will play each other from their group. The top 2 teams of each group will go through to the knockout stages of the cup. The knockout stages will be just 1 game and extra time and pens will be needed if the scores are level after 90 mins.
How the teams are drawn is where the fun really starts! Once everybody has signed up the teams will be randomly picked out of a hat! No ranking, no picking of teams just total luck! (God help us if X Bulldog gets Spain! lol). Yes I might be evil but it is all part of the fun. If you sign up but fail to play your games this will affect whether you can enter future tournaments - I have to be strict but I can see maybe people sulking off if they get say Ireland (like I did in my works sweep stake!) and not taking part. This comp is all about fun! So if you don't like those rules then this isn't for you!
Not only will I pick the teams randomly but I will also pick the groups randomly out of a hat. I will do this once the teams have been given to the players.
We will start playing the matches soon as I get everybody signed up but hopefully this will be fairly quick.
I will set up private leagues for each group and you play your fixtures through the in-game league. I will be part of every group but only as an observer of the result. Of course I will be in one of the groups as I will be entering myself.
I will set up a thread for you to post your results in if people can do that so I can also keep track of the scores. The points scoring will in the group stages will be 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw.
Once the group stages are over I will do a random draw for the knockout stages all the way to the final.
We only have 16 places open for this competition so please only sign up of you are totally sure that you will be taking part fully! I don't want to have to chase people to get their games played! I will be be giving the community members that have played our Fifa comps before 1st choice on entrance to this comp but after that it is 1st come 1st serve on the places!
The prize for the winner of this competition will be 400 ms points! Oh and a place in the Ruff Gaming Hall of Fame! Oh yes it doesn't get much better than that!

oh and any chance u can Skype the draw so we can here u do it 
but I would just like to confirm my participation - alright you can all stop cheering and hoping to get me in your group now - I will take my 3 defeats without a huff...unless I draw anyone who plays in white and is not in mainland Europe
