Le Ruff 24 Endurance Race - 2013
- Ruff Gaming would like to announce our latest Ruff Racing event -
The rumours that have been spreading on Twitter are true, Ruff Gaming is hosting a Le Mans race on Forza 4 on Tuesday 20th August 2013 with a 9:30pm start!
Now don't panic, we are not going to be racing for 24 hours, even we're not that crazy, instead it will be a hour and half of racing on the La Sarthe (New Style) Le Mans Track in R1 cars. The winner is the driver that covers the most distance over the specified time limit. I know R1 cars are expensive on the game so if you will require one there will be on available to use in the club garage! There is no restriction to the car you have to use as long as it is R1, it can be an upgraded R3 for example.
This will be a team based event as well as a solo race, with teams being made up of 1 racer from the Elite league and 1 racer from the 2nd tier leagues of the last Forza Championship. This will be done by a random draw (Possibly to be broadcast on Skype). Don't worry if you haven't joined in before, I will try to balance the teams out as best as I can (I can see leader board times!). The winning team will be determined by the AVERAGE distance, not the overall maximum distance. The teams will be announced a week before the Race is due to start so you have a few days to come up with a team name and I will randomly draw a colour out during the team draw that must be the base colour of your car.
This race will be using similar settings as previous races, however I will allow the Racing Line this time round as it is quite a long track and the braking points are difficult to judge at speed. For those who need a reminder or who haven't raced with us before the rules are as follows:
Racing Line: Driver Preference
Easiest Braking allowed: ABS On
Traction Control: Driver Preference
Steering: Simulation
Gears: Driver Preference
Stability Control: Driver Preference
Now for the exciting part.... THE PRIZES!!!!
The overall winner will walk away with 400m/s points and their name in the sacred Ruff Gaming Hall of Fame.
The winning team will also be entered into the Hall of Fame.
