The Ruff Gamer Eurogamer 2015 Meet Up Plans

I'm starting a new thread for ideas and plans for the yearly Ruff Gamer meet up at EGX 2015 - Eurogamer Expo. 

Same as many of you tickets are now purchased and I have just booked a hotel near the NEC for the Saturday night.

In previous years EGX's we normally had a meet up for breakfast before the Expo then meet up in there - have some group photos, drinks etc.

Iam going on the Saturday and plan to try to do similar things this year but maybe grab some munchies and drink after the expo as me and the family are staying in the area. I haven't a clue what is around that area but sure between us we can research places to go.

Ideas guys?

Myself and Lauren are planning on Driving down on the Saturday morning, doing the whole breakfast/expo thing, then we are also staying in a hotel pretty close the NEC so we will be around afterwards too!

i'll be driving down on the sat morning aswell, as going with bro and couple of his friends, so will be around for sure

I got a Saturday ticket, will be driving down on the morning, hope to catch you there

I plan to drive up Saturday morning. I plan on drinking, maybe do the expo, eat, drink some more. Sleep rough, spoon a drunken bum to keep warm. Then drive home hung over Sunday afternoon.

I've got everything booked up so good to go!

Think my room has a sofa bed so if anyone needs somewhere to crash Friday or Saturday, I have a couch free

I am travelling down on the Thursday; have Friday and Saturday tickets. Means of travel still to be decided, all options open but train favourite at the moment.

Has anyone spoken to the Hotel regarding Parking before we can check in? I'm guessing check in will only open around 2-3pm but we will all be landing around 10.30-11.00 ish.

Think check in is 1:30 but that's for room. I plan to use the car park regardless. We are still a paying guest even if the room is not ready.

Ok with EGX just around the corner I have been trying to find a place for the Ruff breakfast meet up.

I found a Weatherspoons that opens early that serves breakfast close to the NEC arena. Would that be suitable for everybody?

Also me, em and Tom are planning on being there for breakfast at 8:30am (if that is too early people can join us whenever is good for them) I know it's early but as we are only there 1 day I want to get as much in as possible also not have a rushed breaky.

How does that sound for the guys planning on coming for breakfast?

The wetherspoon's isn't the one in the NEC is it?

Would we be able to get to it without showing our tickets? Just thinking because some people don't have the early bird tickets? Also if it's actually inside the NEC isn't it going to be rammed?

Location scouted...wasn't too busy at 8.30 this morning (although tomorrow will likely be busier). As I said on Twitter you don't need your ticket to get to the Wetherspoons, although if you are early entry I would go get your wrist band asap.

So over to you captain for final instructions...
