The Mehwarrior – Welsh Warriors
Finished: 1st
Prediction: 2nd
The Geordie Joyrider proved that he had the consistency required to win the Championship back from Mike this time out.  How does he go that fast?  Does he have Nookie Broon in his tank?  Is his X-box chipped?  Or does the fact that Baw missed most of the races have anything to do with it?  Whatever the reason, he proved again that youth wins out over experience once again and being a student gives you loads of time to practice. (Oh and I did point out if he had the consistency he had a chance.)

T3rraf0rm – Road Rascals
Finished: 2nd
Prediction: 4th
Just like in LeRuff 24 T3rra’s consistency earned him 2nd spot in the championship.  While others around him ended up on their roofs, crashed into walls and generally lost the plot, up til the last race the Trials Master had finished high up in every race.  In fact he would have pushed Meh closer had he not had the misfortune of running into the Nash/Wacky “Fracas on the Finish line”. (Oh and again I pointed out his podium pedigree if Dark and Mike slipped up.)

BoosterDQ26 – B&N Racing
Finished: 3rd
Prediction: 8th
Well humble pie needs to be eaten here The Cranky Racer proved to be much faster than I suspected.  Probably would have had second if he hadn’t missed the last race, and one of only 3 drivers to win a race this season.  Looks like he has established himself as a top racer.  Will Toz report on it on the podcast...I doubt it.

Darkestfrost – Formula Frostgod
Finished: 4th
Prediction: 1st
The James Hunt (yes that is Cockney rhyming slang), of Ruff Racing proved that you don’t need to practice to win a race, but you do if you want to win a Championship.  Having only bought the Saleen on the auction house 10 minutes before the race he stormed back to form in the final race but that was scant compensation for a season littered with non-finishes.  At least there were no serious contretemps with his team mate this time – usually because Raingod dived for the grass every time Bottletop Brakes loomed large in his rear view mirror – but he would point to a toe injury which forced him to use a pad (as well as some badly placed walls) for his (relatively) poor performance.

Mikethemute – North/South Racing
Finished: 5th
Prediction: 3rd
He can’t use the excuse of not wanting to show up his teammate – he’s been part of Lameduck/D2 Racing in Formula 1 for years.  He can’t complain about missed races.  He can’t complain he was assassinated by Baw – well OK on one occasion he had a point.  So what went wrong with the Champion’s season?  Well winning the “How Close Can You Get To The Wreck of Stew’s Car” at Positano didn’t help, and finding out that kerbs are not your friends finished him off,  but The Green Machine just didn’t have the consistency to challenge this time out.

PGTips77 – Anal Combustion
Finished: 6th
Prediction: 6th
Now crowned spiritual leader of the Three Amigos, Lucky Day shrugged off the shackles of having Baw as a teammate to live up to his predicted finish.  Only in the first couple of races did the other Amigos challenge him, and how he managed to fit in practice as well as designing his own and the garage cars liveries is beyond me.

RaingodZippo – Formula Frostgod
Finished: 7th
Prediction: 13th
Possibly the most surprising return to form since Lazarus, Ned Nederlander was a star of the silver screen in the early years of the twentieth century. He began his career at a young age, during which time he was known as 'Little Neddy Knickers'. Some of his earliest successes include "Little Neddy, Grab Your Gun" for which he learned the art of the quick-draw and "Little Neddy Goes to War" in which his character piloted a Tubman 601...oh wait that’s a different story.  Anyway, the return of normal steering saw Raingod finish in his highest position since the first Endurance Season, arguably had he not had a disconnection in one race he could have finished even higher.  4th in Positano and 5th at Maple Valley were the highlights.  Most importantly Miss Daisy ate his dust!

Iceman D18 – North/South Racing
Finished: 8th=
Prediction: 10th
Mixed season for Ice.  Gold star for finishing higher than predicted, but mainly for beating his fellow steward (his main aim in the championship), the Wigan Wingman seemed to do better in qualifying than in the Races but that aside he will have some regrets he has finished lower than in either previous seasons.  Perhaps concentrating on his rivalry with Dick Dastardly took away his focus on the championship.  Maybe next time now he has broken Hoke Colburn, he will look to challenge further up the table.

Thetaffman66 – Welsh Warriors
Finished: 8th=
Prediction: 5th
Suffered from missed races, but did enough to be part of the winning team Champions.  A place in the Hall of Fame – albeit on the coat-tails of someone else – ask Raingod, he knows all about that – is some consolation for a fairly disappointing season and unlike Raingod he hasn’t had 3000 attempts to get into the Ruff Elite under his own steam and he has plenty of opportunities to get there in the future if he can show some more of the promise he showed.

Wackybar – Road Rascals
Finished: 10th
Prediction: 9th
Dusty Bottoms had his progress stopped by what we will call “The Nash Effect”, but in truth didn’t have the best of seasons, lagged his fellow Amigos this time (except in the exceptional Mugello “Duel to the Death”). In mourning over the loss of Bale?  Well he still beat the Gooner so he will be happy about that.

Ruffian Stew – Ruff Rambo Racing
Finished: 11th
Prediction: 12th
In the Bonfire of the Vanities, Olympus Has Fallen.  Beaten by both Raingod and Iceman there is little to celebrate for Stew.  Sure he finished one place higher than predicted and he was the lead driver of his team (both because his teammate’s internet connection meant he only actually started one race), but Miss Daisy was firmly back.  To get back to any Glory, in the next Se7en years, and to make a Deep Impact on future championships he will need to stay Clean and Sober or he will be Under Suspicion of having an Unfinished Life.

Nash Effect 77 – B&N Racing
Finished: 12th
Prediction: 11th
Pretty quiet season for Nash, until the last race when a misjudgement caused disaster, off the pace but determined and kept going until the end.  Will be disappointed he finished behind Stew, and sorry mate you will need to suffer a lot of gloating until the next chance you get to beat him.

Bawkicker – Anal Combustion
Finished: 13th
Prediction: 14th
Some say he helped broker a deal between the Republicans and Democrats to get the American Government back to work, others that he is still wandering round Wigan looking for Ice’s house, all we know is his name is Bawkicker and he missed the last half of the season for some unknown reason.  UPDATE:  apparently he may have delivered a pizza to Wacky’s house in his underwear...

JRambo IV – Ruff Rambo Racing
Finished: 14th
Prediction: 7th
