Once again Ruff Gaming took to the track on Forza 4 to start of the next competition. Brain child of The Mehwarrior and hosted by myself, Ruff Gaming plays host to a Touring Car style championship. A qualifying session followed by 2 races, the first race in qualifying order and the 2nd race with the grid reversed. Once again the teams had been chosen and before the race there was a lot of banter bouncing round on Twitter, with some practice going on in between.

Qualifying threw up a few surprises with the newest member of the Ruff Rabble, SMB91, taking part in his first Ruff Gaming competition and setting a blistering pole position lap. His lap time was over a second faster than his nearest rival and reigning Forza Championship Champion, The Mehwarrior. Unfortunately for Darkestfrost, the USB stick he uses for his saved game corrupted before the race, meaning he lost everything. Once he got in the lobby with the correct car, all the setting were incorrect and he took the decision to abandon qualifying and start from the back of the grid. Full qualifying results are shown above.

The first race was the first time all 14 cars lined up on the grid, with collisions and damage on! As the race got under way the faster accelerating BMW's pushed through the grid towards the front, but SMB91 held onto the lead. It wasn't long before Raingod, Wackybar and Pgtips, AKA The Three Amigos, filed behind each other with myself hanging on to the back. The battle for positions between the 4 of us resulted in all 4 of us hitting the last U turn side by side. No one knows how we all got round relatively unscathed but myself and Raingod started to pull away. Further back Ruffian Stew was up to his old tricks with Nash Effect and Wackybar, giving them gentle little taps just to remind them he was there. Darkestfrost made up good ground from the back and was pushing hard in the middle of the pack. Boosterdq was doing his best to hold on to the back of SMB91 with T3RRAF0RM and The Mehwarrior fighting hard just behind. Mikethemute was unfortunate to be disconnected, although it did mean he started the next race on pole. SMB91 held off Boosterdq to take his victory from pole, leading all the way. Almost Vettell-ish in his approach and control. Full results above!

The second race was design to cause a little bit of chaos with the 'Slower' drivers starting at the front, meaning the front runners need to fight more for their position. Yet again, the faster cars gained a quick advantage on the start/finish straight, but the slower drivers showing good defensive driving, that was till lap 3..... Just after the chicane (turns 4/5) some kind of contact occurred, sending Nash Effect and The Mehwarrior spinning, which resulted in myself t-boning into Nash. Also in the mix taffman and Wackybar sustained damage, forcing half of the grid to pit. Quietly avoiding all the chaos was Ruffian Stew who was just pushing on and concentrating on his own race. WombleMk3 had took the lead and was holding off SMB91 well but constant pressure resulted in a quick swap of position. Boosterdq was once again pushing the front runners and holding on for another good finish. The race settled down and full results can be seen above.

A great start to what could be a really good competition! Congratulations to SMB91 for dominating the session and taking an early lead. Individual/Team Championship points will be posted soon.

Thanks to the Mehwarrior for organising this competition and I can guarantee that there will be more excitement to come!
